System Support Engineer IT
Job Description
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, including call centre agents and other employees, to resolve issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and system performance. Assist in the administration and maintenance of servers, workstations, and other IT systems, including operating system installation, patch management, user account management, and software deployment. Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security for operations. Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure the timely backup and recovery of critical data and systems, minimizing downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or disasters. Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers to escalate and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and support tickets, and prepare regular reports on system and network performance, incidents, and resolutions. Monitor system and network performance using monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques, identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize performanceand reliability. Respond promptly to system and network incidents, including outages, performance degradation, security breaches, and other technical issues, and take appropriate actions to resolve them in accordance with established procedures.
